Mini Saanens....any flipping day now :)

As most know, I have been lusting after mini-saanens and since buying one never worked out, I bought my own Saanen this Winter and bred to her a ND. She is a FF and I am beyond excited to see what she throws. Day #149 and waiting....

I had a dream last night that she kidded and they were the most ugly kids ever. So ugly that I knew there wasn't any way I would be keeping a single one, lol. I am hoping to not repeat the kidding we had last week....3 bucklings. Gorgeous, but still bucklings.

...and we're at day 150. Her udder has gotten significantly bigger but that's about it. I was really hoping the storm last night would get the ball rolling and I even woke up at 3:00am to run to the barn. Nope, nothing. C'mon, Ruby Mae!

From another thread I see she had one kid but you didn't say if it was a buckling or doeling. Also pictures?!

Busy, busy few days. Ruby Mae kidded with one HUGE buckling. That makes 4 buckling, 0 doelings this year. Lol. He is gorgeous and his mama is producing like a champ, especially for a FF. I milked a half gallon from one teat today and she's not even 3 days fresh yet (12-14 hour fill).

I really need to take better pics, but again, super busy! Kidding was crazy. He presented with a tongue and one front leg. I went in and could not find the other leg for anything. Spent a good 10-15 minutes trying to find it and never could. I half-expected for him to be born with only 3 legs, lol. I finally pulled him out with one leg and he's doing great.

I've really got to find him a home, as we can't keep a buck here. I hate the thought of wethering him, as he's a really nice buck. With people just getting into the mini-saanens, I am hoping to find someone who wants fresh bloodlines and to further their generations.
