HELP baby goat poo!!!

Our Nigerian dwarf gave birth yesterday, a boy, all seems well but this morning I went out to milk my other doe and the baby had a hard slightly sticky poop all stuck to his but, tail, running all down his back legs, would not wipe off, soaked him in the tub with warm water pulled most of the hay out of it but still lots of poop, finally cut most of the rest off very carefully!! dried him off all the way put him back with mom and turned the heat lamp for him, pooped again an hour after we cleaned him and if barely fell from his but! Stuck to his bottom, this was at least much easier to clean off (softer and not hardened) Just wanna know if this is normal?

Thanks!

Yes. Normal. Usually black/dark poo first, then yellow sticky poo.

The dam should be cleaning him up.

If she is not keeping him clean, the next time you clean it put Vaseline on his rear and legs, makes it easier for you to clean off.

No black poo, just dark orange/yellow, and she isn't cleaning him I just did again! Thanks for the tip on Vaseline will definitely do that!
My doe only had 1 baby and her udder is huge and really hard( poor thing haven't really seen her lay down yet), should I be helping to remove some colostrum to relieve pressure since only 1 baby is eating?

I would milk her out some if her udder seems hard and sore. I'm a newbie with Nigerians though

I milked her a bit (3/4 of a pint) and she seemed relieved(lifted her leg so I could get to her better) I am gonna do it again before bed and see how it all goes tomorrow.
Thanks!!

My macho hubby, who can shovel out spring goat stalls while eating a sandwich, literally and quickly pukes at the sight of that sticky, yellow early milk poo. I'm the worlds biggest sissy about questionable substances, but it doesn't bother me a bit. Go figure.
