Big stinky ugly guys! I shaved up my two boys today and I just had to take some photos of them . The blond buck Abraham is going to his new (actually old) home next weekend and I actually think I am going to miss the stinker. He isn't my favorite buck but he has been here for 4 years and I will kind of miss him .

Basil (the black and tan) is my baby though as you might tell from our "selfie" photos. Even at 3yrs of age he still loves his "momma" and gives me kisses every day.

I feel the same way about Mr. Kidd, my buck. He is a complete sweetheart and loves to cuddle and get scratches. He will leave food to come say high to me and hang out. I love him!

Those guys have just been on pasture for the last month, I am pleasantly surprised to see how good they looked after being shaved.

My boys are already coming in to rut! I am in shock, I thought maybe I was imagining it but today when I was out with them it is becoming more apparent. They are starting to act like bucks in rut and not my sweet babies .

Its enough to make the SO roll his eyes and go inside

I love my bucks too. Peppernut is not much for cuddling, but he's getting better. Brownie is just a big old softy. He likes his daily scritches.

They do get quite stinky, but for some odd reason, the buck smell doesn't register with me. My husband hates touching them, and says yes they do smell; I just can't smell it. :P I go out and play with the boys and hug them and then go inside and he starts gagging, and I'm like "Did I step in something?"

But then, similarly, he isn't bothered by skunk smell at all and I am. Go figure. :P
