red tip / red robin

Is red tip photinia, aka, red robin, dangerous to goats. Half of my searches say yes, half say no, so I came straight to the horse's mouth (all say poisonous to horses), so to speak.

It looks like it has the same "Cyanogenic glycosides" as cherry leaves, which are indeed toxic when wilted. I believe I would avoid feeding it to the goats, especially if you were tossing cuttings into their yard. I might not worry too much about them browsing from a fresh plant, but even then I'd try to limit their access.

That's probably erring on the side of caution, but that's better than the alternative.

We wouldn't feed it to them but was concerned that they might eat it. There are a ton of vines and brush for them to munch on, but there's always that one guy in every group
