What a huge difference!

I have two does that are 2 weeks away from kidding. One is a FF Saanen (bred to ND) and the other is a second freshener mini-nubian (bred to the same). Their bodies are so very different. I know that, short of an ultrasound, we can't know how many each have...but do you think there's much of a chance that my FF Saanen has more that a single kid in there? If so, I have no idea where it could be hiding! I am just keeping my fingers crossed for one mini-saanen doeling!

Really no way to tell. I think the Saanen could still surprise you with twins. Those long girls can line the babies up so they don't stick out much. Both look very healthy and perfect weight.

Thank you. This is the Saanen that we really had to work on this Winter/Spring. As the new goat in the herd, she was getting really underweight because the others did not let her eat. She was rammed every time she moved an inch for about 2.5 months. A new stall + a new stall mate + a tad of senior equine each day has really helped her.

My Saanen gal surprised me all the time. Once she was so "thin" I though that she wasn't bred and if it weren't for the fact she was bagging up I would have guessed she wasn't pregnant.....and then, BAM! Trips!

Same Saanen, a year later, huge belly....and one buckling.

Sometimes those single bucklings make the biggest bellies!

If you're taking bets I will say a single for the first and twins on the other.
