Babies today!

My one doe had her babies today. Twins, one of each. The buckling was 9.5 lbs and the doeling 7 lbs. Now we just have to wait for my dd boer to pop.

I'm going to keep the little doeling. Her mom gives me 7 lbs a milking at peak but only milks for 8 months. Not happy about that. Her dad comes from very good milking lines so I'm hoping she'll end up with the volume and a better lactation length. My other doe milks about the same but she'll go on for at least 2 years. However, she generally has boys and is getting up in age, so I have to look elsewhere for replacements. I did get one doe out of her last year though. We'll see how that one does.
