Newest member of the family

I have been sitting on this for almost a month. I haven't shared with but a few people because I wanted to wait until I brought him home. I can't wait however and wanted to introduce the newest member of my family. Some of you might remember I lost my 1 1/2yr old pup just in December to a very fast growing cancer. I had stayed in contact with his breeder (I got my first dog from her back when I was just a 12yr old kid) and we both mourned the loss of my special boy. It was so hard losing him and so fast but I knew I wanted to get another pup.

My friend (the breeder) said she had a litter on the ground that had been born January 1st but there was a slim chance I could get a pup from that litter. She had bred two other females and one was a sister to Tucker (my pup I lost) and the other a niece so I really wanted a pup out of one of them. It ended up that neither took but like I said there was a SLIM chance I could get a pup from this litter.

I waited and started losing hope until the end of March/Beginning of April when I got an email saying THERE WAS A PUP FOR ME! I didn't know this but the female that had the pups also was a half sister to Tucker. I went to meet the roly poly little boy and fell in love, his mom reminds me SO much of my late boy and I think this little fellow will be a perfect fit for this family.

I would like to introduce Kyro, my almost 4 month old Papillon pup. I will be picking him up on Thursday and I couldn't be happier . His ear is flopped because of his teething but I will be taping it when he gets here.

Thank you everyone . Susie you get to meet him when you come down . Aart his breeder said that teething can make the ears get floppy, we had that with German Shepherd pups to so it doesn't surprise me.

I can't believe it is the day after tomorrow that I pick him up, it feels very surreal. In some ways it is hard because at first meeting this fellow isn't much like Tucker at all. Which actually will be a good thing and Kyro reminds me more of my first Pap I had. Either way I am excited to see him and get to know him.

He should be a bigger male, topping at around 7lbs full grown. Considering my last two have been 5lbs that is a big difference.

I pick Kyro up today at 3pm! I feel like a nervous new mom *laughs*. I am so excited to see his personality unfold as he grows up here. My friend did say he is very quiet in the crate (unlike his loud brother) . My last pup had a set of lungs on him so this will be a nice change.
