Angry Problems with Horseprerace.com?

I placed an order for Baycox last week, and received an email the next day saying that it was on backorder (though the money was immediately deducted from my bank account), and that they would notify me when it shipped. I sent a reply stating that it would have been nice if they had said that on the site because I need it sooner rather than later, to which they replied that the order would ship that evening or the next morning. I've sent 2 more emails with no reply, and I still don't have my order. My first set of kids will be 3 weeks old this weekend and, needless to say, I'm getting beyond ticked at this point. Has anyone else had these issues with HPR in the past? I'm NOT impressed...

I've never had a problem with them. They've always been superfast getting it shipped out. I've never encountered a backorder though.

No phone number on their website. Weird.

Thanks, Doug. I sent two more emails this morning and finally received a response. They said, "Fed Ex is reissuing tracking numbers," whatever that means... We shall see.

That sounds like a nothing answer, just so they can say they replied...I'd call them.

I agree. I was on my way out yesterday and didn't have time to call, but I am planning to call later on. If they hadn't lied last week and said it was being sent "this evening or first thing in the morning", this wouldn't be an issue.

I called and got a recorded message stating that all inquiries had to be emailed to info@horseprerace.com. What a bunch of BS!!!

Indeed, I can find other suppliers if they can't do right.

I've never had an issue. Backordered is backordered - it is a busy season for coccidia prevention, ordering early is a good idea for next year. Chances are you're getting different people answering your email every time, or you're getting as good of info as they have for you - perhaps they got a new shipment in but you weren't high enough on the list to recieve any - who knows. Some may be more or less informed than others. If you aren't pleased, cancel your order and get a refund. I don't know of anywhere else to get toltrazuril.

Yea. I ordered when I still had some left. That was February. I don't like running out of anything.

I can understand a backorder; that's not my issue. My issue is that they obviously lied when they said it was shipping last week, after I contacted them about not showing "backordered" on their website!

I've been in contact with them via email, and they stated that they're reshipping the order because they've been having problems with FedEx and are changing carriers.

It's so frustrating to post things here and have people not read the entire post and/or read into it what they think they see. Again, my problem is not with a backorder (though that should be stated on the website), but with the fact that they lied about when the product was being shipped.

And I would have ordered early had I known what the heck I was going to use for this year's kids - this is the first year I've had to use anything as far as prevention, and it's because we moved. I researched, researched and researched some more before deciding on what to use. My vet doesn't believe in anything except Corid, and I knew I didn't want to use that. I was venting here and letting people know of MY experience with HPR. In my opinion, they gave extremely poor customer service. I've worked in CS before (for several years), and I would have been fired if I had lied to a customer the way they've been lying to me...

I wonder if this has anything to do with it: This med was discussed on another thread I participate in. Apparently one of the mods was contacted by a federal office and told to share any info on people discussing Baycox use. Seems that since it is not approved by the FDA, it's use is illegal in animals here in the states.

Probably still legal to buy, just not legal to use by FDA standards. Since that post, I've been also wondering how soon it would be before we have a hard time ordering it. Hopefully your case is just an accident and you get your shipment soon.

I just received my order that I placed earlier this week. Super fast shipping, but then I only ordered one small bottle (200ml I think.)

I wondered about the legality since it was shipped from Panama.
