Dog owners paid

Today out of the blue the owners of the dogs that killed Timmie and injuried Sally and Belly called then stopped by with the money I had said covered my costs with the vet. And even offered something above it.

Actually although it was hard to talk about it, the owner apologized in a manner that did make me feel that she was sincerely sorry it happened and took full responsibility. She actually said she felt that she had failed her dogs by letting it happen. And that those dogs would not suddenly reappear- they are gone.

I can't be pleased with animal control but at least I don't have to worry about irresponsible neighbors. And that is a relief- it's a burden to feel bad about people.

So rest in peace dear Timmie. I will miss you every day.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but happy that your neighbors did the right thing, not only by paying you, but by also getting rid of the dogs. It's been a year and a half since I lost my two pregnant does, and the dogs' owner still has yet to pay a dime. (((HUGS)))

That's hard. To be hurt and angry over the loss and then have to be aggravated over money and worry about what they will do since they refuse to see what they did. I thought that is where I was going and it looked pretty ugly.
You truly have my sympathy too.

Case closed. Good deal. I hope the neighbor relationship heals, too.

Sorry for the experience you had to endure, but it is rather refreshing to hear there still are some descent and responsible people in the world who are willing to take responsibility for what they are responsible for.

I pray this can start a new chapter in your and your neighbors lives. Companion animals are great and goats are a great fit. I'm so glad your neighbor did the right thing. Hugs to you all
