2014 New Additions

Windmill Farm 2014 kidding has just begun, and the first twin doelings are really a FIRST for me...Sanubians. For years I have raised only Nubians; branched out by purchasing 2013 does (one Saanen and one Saanen/Lamancha). Here are the first results. I think the milk production of the Saanens and the fat content of Nubian milk should be a good combination. Am looking forward to milking in a couple of weeks. Sooo, here are the pics...

Sweet little faces!!! You're going to LOOOOOVE Snubians. I have two and one of them is giving a gallon+ as a FF. Wonderful hybrid vigor and the ears are a constant source of amusement.

Oh, I am so glad to hear from someone who milks Snubians. Actually, I have never milked a Saanen, so can't wait. She certainly has plenty of milk for those little ones.

I just love Saanens and Snubians! My Snubian will be a ff this year, I can't wait to see what she produces....both kid and milk wise

Perfect little ones you have there, so sweet!

The goat business is good, but sales are lousy around here because I want to keep them all! Think I will keep these new twins for now. If the amount of milk gets to be excessive (over and above the amount needed to make cheese for family and friends), may sell a doe in milk...IF I can find the right family that will love and adore a very spoiled goat. Oh Lordy, how do people sell their babies.
