Blah!
Well....I suppose it was bound to happen eventually

We've had goats almost 3 yrs and never had a case of scours.
Cully is the victim (yes, cully...guess where she's headed? lol We tried not naming her but eventually we needed something to refer to her as other than 'the cull' lol - she has a 3rd teat)
Noticed a little bit of diarrhea when we started to green up...figured
that was the culprit. Well, it hasn't gone away.
It's just her that has the scours.
She wasn't on cocci prevention and now is 10mo. She is about the
size of our 12 wk olds....didn't think much about it before as we figured
she was the product of a fence breech (ND neighbor) and not our own buck... "she's just small."
Anyhow. It was warm enough to rinse her off
well, so I brought her up. We don't handle her often (planning on culling and all) so she's a bit skiddish. It appears she's lost weight and just seems quieter than usual. I gave her pepto and ivermectin (jsut in case) and after reading more on cocci I will dose her tomorrow on dimethox (we have it on hand). Don't have a current temp, will look again for the thermometer. Again, no one else shows symptoms.
Put her back with the others this evening and she was grazing with everyone..

Any other suggestions?
