Any thoughts???
Hi everyone. My Dazee and I are new at this. Both of us are first timers doing the kidding thing. We have no idea when she is due (she was with a buck all of last october and november). I have guessed her latest due date could be April 24th?? Anyway, here are some pics of her and her private parts, well not so private anymore LOL! She seems to be really close. Her ligaments are disappearing and then reappearing again. Does everything look okay? Any input would be very helpful! Thanks so much!! REALLY!

Oh, I sooo hope so. Waiting is just excruciating!! She seems to have so many of the symptoms that she is close, just hasn't quite gone into the "no turning back" stage. Her bags seem to be so big, is this normal for a Saanen? I know they are supposed to give lots of milk, but she just seems sooo big. And she isn't even completely full yet. I can still pinch some skin. Her bags also seem a bit hard. Not sure if that is normal either.

There's only one "bag" (udder) and two teats. Saanens are known to give a lot of milk. Your girl, as the others have said, should go any time. Can't wait to see pics!

There's a small 6 pointed star, on the end of each tit.
Tell that to the next city-slicker who comes by.
My dad did that when introducing his Chicago-born
newly wed to farm life while milking a Holstein!
She didn't believe him and just had to look.
Got a face full of fresh milk for her trouble.

One of my does is looking just like that and has been "any time now" for a few days. Enough to drive a person nuts.

Oh my gosh, you are not kidding! Did I just say that?? I have read some of the threads on here where the goats take weeks until they finally, finally kid! I don't know how you all survive this!. I find myself trying to bribe her... I offered her a lollipop today

She doesn't look more than a few days off from kidding. Keep an eye on her tail ligaments and behavior.

Here she is yesterday. Doesnt look like she has plans for anytime soon. Her ligaments are a LOT softer today. Cant even find one side. And there is the famous "white goop" I keep reading about which could still mean weeks. Grrrrrr!
