Bloody discharge and anemic

Heidi, my doe who kidded 17 days ago is having, what I would consider, some pretty heavy discharge still. She seemed to stop at two weeks having normal discharge and then suddenly begins having bright red blood coming out. There was a rather large clot stuck to her tail this morning and I'm starting to get concerned. There's no bad smell, she's eating fine and acting normal but her eyelids do look a little anemic.

Wild guess: if she is eating good, peeing and pooing, seems normally active, milk is good, no fever, decent condition considering that she just kidded...chances are she is fine. Now, having said that (!) you did see the afterbirth? The delivery was reasonable in time and effort? Do you have a worm problem that you usually treat everyone right at kidding?

Ditto above questions.

I'd watch it for a couple of days. Give her vitamin C. Smell her lady parts. If there's no bad smell, it's probably ok.

Thanks. Yes, I did see the afterbirth after she kidded but I also had "gone in" to check for a second kid because she seemed to be labouring again. No second kid and the one she had was an easy delivery. I washed up but my main concern was her getting an infection from having checked her internally.

Haven't had a worm issue before with her but I did give her (and the rest) a regular worming a couple days after she kidded. I'll giver her that vitamin C and keep watch.
