Delaval lid on Surge Belly milker?

I have heard the the surge lid can fit on the delaval bucket, but does the delaval lid work on the belly milker too? I want to get the lid with two milk line tubes. Those I know use a larger diameter hose, so I could make a milking claw with only one milk hose to the bucket per goat. Less lines to clean. My idea is to make a sump tank out of a glass jar on one of the lines, so that I can have the milk separate on milk test days. Though on a normal day, all the milk would go directly into the main bucket... I'd also love to do the in-line filters and that would be easiest on my dad.

Just take your Surge lid to a dairy supply place and they can weld a couple of tubes into it to fit your milk hoses and weld shut any non essential openings.
I modified my DeLavals so that instead of the funky hole they had for the pulsator/claw connection I have a 5/8" SS tube. Put it at an angle so I could get the hose on easier.

I don't know of any dairy supply places anywhere. I googled but maybe I wasn't using the correct terminology? I'd love to find one to get some bucket cleaning detergent/acid wash etc without having to order/ship the heavy stuff... :/

You can use just 2 connections of your surge lid if you don't want to use 4. All you have to do is get a short piece of hose that is the correct diameter for both the lid part and the pulsator connections, and then just loop it back into itself. I can find a website that shows this, if you can't picture what I am saying.

Yes, I know the website - but you can't route all the milk from 1 doe into 1 line on those lids - the milk hose diameter is too small and you won't get good flow from my understanding. Generally for those setups, you have each TEAT have it's own milk hose. I had emailed someone at Parts Dept about it. I originally thought I'd be savvy and make it so we *could* milk up to 4 at a time with the Surge lid, but it sounds like it wouldn't work/be advised. The Delaval lid allows for larger hose and that means better flow.

You could search Surge or DeLaval or Boumatic dealers in MI or even some welding shops should have an idea of 3A standards and should be able to do it.
