Kidding starts this week!

Woohoo kidding starts here this week! two does on the 7th, one doe on the 8th, one doe on the 9th, one doe on the 11th and one doe on the 12th. I have two more due on the 28th and 29th though the doe on the 28th COULD be due earlier such as this week. I will just keep my eyes peeled on her but I am not holding my breath.

Please send up a prayer for me though. I have been fighting a NASTY cough and a fever since Thursday. Thursday night it spiked up to 104 but it mainly has stayed in the 101-102 range. Today is the first day I woke up and only had a temp of 100.6 or something like that. I am thankful I got sick now but I still have some last minute things I need to do before kidding season truly gets underway.

Thank HEAVEN for my amazing mom who has been taking care of me and all my pregnant does. I am excited for kidding season to get here though! Still need to figure out how to get my cameras live streaming.

Prayers for you Justine.
Just went through the same thing here. Only benefit I can think of is that maybe getting sick now will mean you won't get it again, that's what I keep telling myself anyway. LOL

Praying you feel better. I know of a weird remedy, but it worked for my kids. I cut a white onion in half and seran wrapped it to the bottoms of her feet. Then put heavy socks on over it.She slept that way all night. She went to bed with a 103- 104 temp that spiked out of no where and I could not break it with tylenol or cold bath. That night, within an hour the temp broke. And the next morning she was completely better. No sickness, no temp. No nothing. Its one of those old wives remedies....the onion pulls toxins from your feet, throught the blood stream and releases into it antifungal, antimicrobial, antibacterial agents. anyways....

praying for a safe and smooth kidding season and your complete recovery ASAP

I certainly hope you feel better soon and that all of the kiddings are smooth and uneventful! I'll be right there with ya with the kidding...not as many, of course. Mudge is due Thursday (today is day 146), Winnie on the 10th, and Snicket on the 23rd.

Well the decree is if I am not better by tomorrow I go in to the doctor. Tomorrow would be day five of my fever. Again just a bit ago my fever was back up to 102 and the coughs just rack my whole entire body and it hurts like the dickins.

Katie I sure hope to get those cameras figured out! I can see them just fine (since I can't get outside or even move from where I am at without a huge cough attack) I am spying on them via cameras .

Hope you are feeling better by now. My 18 yo brother and my 4 yo nephew both have the whooping cough. It's nasty stuff. I sure hope you don't have it too.

I am FINALLY getting better! I started taking herbal infection fighters and yesterday was day 2 and I could feel them slightly working. Today I could really feel a difference and it was the first day I had a normal temp. My friend who is a nurse said it sounds like I came down with Pneumonia. Whatever I came down with I haven't been that sick ever in my adult life. It wasn't a upset stomach sickness but even with fever reducers in my system I would be running fevers of 102+ degrees.

Thank you SO much for all the prayers! I have a ways to go before I am back to normal. I am still exhausted and walking around causes coughing attacks (sitting does as well) and poops me out but I am finally on the mend. The does are getting slightly closer to kidding but I have quite a few days yet .

Again thank you SO much for all your prayers and well wishes.

Justine

Well finally 7 days into this and I am getting my strength back and I woke up with a normal temp. I wasn't so woozy when standing up and my cough is doing much better (but still there). My lungs are very sensitive and can set me off into a coughing fit very easy. MirandaT I think you are right...whatever I had was NASTY.

I could cry from happiness at being FINALLY on the mend. Normally when I wake up all I want to do is go straight back to sleep (and I have been doing that). Today though I actually felt rested and like some of my old energy was back. Considering some of my does are now at 148 days this can't have come soon enough. I don't ever want to get hit like this again you guys. My whole family was worried for me and my friends who knew how high my temps where reaching. Thank you for all the prayers!

I had a NAAASTY cold for 2 weeks. Fever, cough, stuffy head and nose, sneezing like crazy (I got out of the shower and sneezed 14 times in a row... I started laughing in between them because it was NUTS, lol!), just everything that comes with a terrible cold. I think what broke the surface was the cinnamon, catnip, ginger, mint, and honey tea. I was also swallowing 3 tablespoons of local honey before bed (almost threw up after doing that, that was bad but it did help lol). Finally started feeling better.

So I know what you mean! At least I don't have goats kidding (can you believe that Justine... Alice and Betty BOTH didn't take!)!

Good luck. I hope Mia has some Black Betty look-a-likes, haha!

Eek! Yay! That would be so cool. .. Betty and Mia could have play dates, LOL! But then we would have to try and tell them apart to separate them. ..

I COULD GET A MUNCHIE BABY. .. o.o

Am I correct that you also have one of Susie's nubians?
