Justine..doelings pics
both girls were MUCH too busy to want to sit for pictures... but here's enough to get a look at them.. (at least you are getting to see them.. I just agreed to buying another Goldthwaite doeling.. sight unseen ) ...
Pink nose girl and dark nose girl is how we are keeping up with who is who..
both will have some moonspots on the black (on both sides. hips, necks.. moonspots that will turn white over time).. you can only see them now in just the right light.. they appear like a flat black.. instead of a shiny black.. legs will have spots.. they are very even in size ect.. just which ever strikes your fancy (if you hate them both.. that's okay too.. don't feel like you HAVE to pick one)
okay those loaded weird.. Pink nose is in the upper left corner and lower right.. dark nose upper right and lower left.. see how much they look alike?
look 'em over and let me know..

Yay I can't wait to see how she grows and meet her in person . My friend's daughters loved the pictures of her and her sister. They are farm kids but still love any new babies .
Justine
PS: you girls know me too well in guessing which doeling I would pick . How could I resist that pink nose!

I knew as soon as I saw that sweet pink thing.. she was the one LOL.. she is doing really well.. just finished feeding her a bottle.. sucked it right down and then folded her legs under and snuggled in on my lap.. (didn't mind at all that there were a dozen more kids wanting THEIR bottles LOL)

Awwww she already knows the best place to be is laps . Though when she is full grown I might have to have a talk with her....or not . I still let some of my bottle babies "climb" into my lap as adults. They don't fit all the way but they still love their cuddles.
She is just perfect, her coloring (without the spots) remind me of my first nubian doe I ever had. I still miss that girl...but now I have Ms. Ellie to look forward to .

Justine ... if you are anything like me.. you might want to know a bit more about the goats in Eleanor's family tree...
On her dam Eve's side.. you have grandma Belle.. Belle was the result of the breeding between a Ch Little-o-Acres doe (who carried all sorts of fun/old style lines.. Amberwood, Flora farm, Gasconade, Cadillac).. Belle's sire was a son of ++*B Brown Sugar Crown Ambassador (the buck behind so much of the Kastdemur nubians).. they bred Crown Ambassador back to his own dam GCH Chardonnay to make ++*B Brown Sugar's Double Stuff.. (he was Belle's sire.. so Eve's grandsire)..
on Eve's dad's side.. her sire was my big black buck Journey (Journey is one of the last Ai offspring registered from the famous buck ++*B Amberwood Jedi's Winter Frost, (he along with Jack Frost North Wind, is credited with much of the success the Copper-Hill herd after adding him as their herd sire).. Journey's dam is a lovely solid black doe (Gloomy's grand dam, who she favors).. her name is Cream-of-Kansas' Rebel Jet.. I had the pleasure of seeing her win BDIS.. that same year she went 3rd pl/3rd udder in a large 3 yr old class at the nationals in Ky.. she too have some excellent animals behind her a lovely combo of Cream-of-Kansas' & Kastdemur's.. (tightening up even more of the Crown Ambassador in Eve)..
Edge of course is your girls' sire.. His dam was a big, black & white spotted GCH doe. her family tree brings in even more old style lines.. Bell-haven, Manges-Colony, Split-Creek, Kismet.. On his sire's side... you find the grandsire is Goldthwaite Magic Man.. out of Becky's Merlin line. that goes back to Omar (I'm going to Goldthwaite in april to pick up two doelings on my way back from Saada).. can't imagine not adding more of it to my herd.. The Goldthwaite buck was bred to a Ch doe that carries even more old stuff Lotus Ladies, Musk Rose..Full Circle.. just lots of nice old milky lines..
just pulled pics off my computer so they are all sizes. sorry about that LOl
first picture is of Eve (your girls dam) nice high udder.. spotted doe kid in middle is Eleanor's full sister Evan from last year.. she lives here in MO. black doe is Rebel Jet. Eve's granddam.. Black buck frost ears/muzzle is Jet's son Journey.. Eve's dad.. the older gal is Belle Eve's mom (Eve was from her last pregnancy..we lost Belle the next year)..
anyhow.. since it's going be a while before you get your hands on her. this gives you something to read, to show folks family photos ect.. enjoy
susie

Oh thank you so much! I do love hearing about the lines and goats my kids come from . Eve has a BEAUTIFUL udder (and it looks like nice sized teats as well ) and Eleanor's sister is gorgeous .
I can't wait to see how Eleanor matures and grows . I will have to start looking up some of those old lines now . Keeps me busy while I wait for Ellie to get here. So it sounds like it will be April when you are in the area?
Oh and you will have to show pictures of your pretty babies of course when you get them . It is an addiction I tell you! An addiction...
Justine
PS: My mom OF COURSE loved the doe I didn't pick. She has a thing against white faces...I just told her oh well too bad .
