Fat, flabby doe...

This November I bought an 8 month old Nubian alpine doe and a 6 mo Nubian buck. I remember being amazed at their body condition, but appalled at how much grain they were being fed. I was told the doe had went into heat in october and should be bred. After I brought them home it dawned on me that these goats might actually be Overweight. Over the next couple weeks I transitioned them to strictly hay with the occasional hoof trimming oats. They have done fine since. So now because march is approaching, I wanted to get a feel on Ruby's belly.

Last night I did, and I felt on her teats as well. The teats are longer but no real udder yet. As far as belly goes, she is normal goat size, but has flab! Like the xtra skin that hangs down on a formerly fat cat! Is this normal for a goat that loses weight? I've never had a fat goat before and it is a new concept...
