Unless there is a grandchild at the end of the trip there is no better reason to take one!!
Have fun, be careful and bring milk!!

Well slight change of plans.. DOD (dear oldest daughter) that had to move to Florida 8 months ago with a friend wants to move home, at the moment she is up in KC, MO area visiting her dad...this is the plan since DOM(dear old mom>>me) has a truck.
She will ride train to hermann 30 min from us on TUE the 11, I am going to take a PD(personal day) from work on THURSDAY 13, we will leave out 4 AM and head straight for Florida 16-17 hrs 2 drivers = 9pm, pack her stuff up, sleep till 4 am head out for Doug's...for my little baby girl Vanilla
If we get in to late I think we will break and get a room for the night. Then visit Doug (whispers>>> I am only bringing enough moola for 1 baby)
HOME stretch 4.5 hours
Best news of all my daughter will be paying for the fuel

Yikes. That's a trip. Vanilla is a pig. She is the first at the bucket and the last to leave. Then she will go run and jump and is the last one to go in the cage at night. What a personality!!! She's looking better and better each day. She's a winner.

Road trip

Be careful at my place. I've lost count of the number of babies and they keep getting prettier.

Oh gosh I know and not just babies...saw that pic of Oreo and about died in love if that makes sense lol.

I will have to make sure to hit a grocery store for milk, lets see have to bring cooler to keep milk, baby bottles, hand warmer to help heat up milk, maybe a crate in case she gets tired of being held...well got a week and 2 days still to go

Ok truck tires checked, change of clothes, several bottles of mountain dew and snacks, car insurance card, baby bottles and all kinds of nipples, couple of towels, couple of blankets, drivers license, check book, daughter...think I am ready! Plan is to leave here at 1 am and head south on 55 to bypass the Atlanta mess, will add a couple hours but rather that then getting stuck there for hours on end.

Wintr, I hope you have a great trip. I was really hoping to hear that you were headed somewhere really warm for a much needed break.

It really was neat and I wish I could have stayed a little bit longer. Passed several signs on acreage for sell like "10 acres for 29,000" saw wild boar piglets roaming, really weird looking trees LOL but everything was green!! Funny the round bales of hay I saw there are half the size of what we get up here.
Some Florida pics for those that are tired of snow ...last pic is of a swampy area off the interstate.
