Goat injured lip

So today my pygmy head butted my dog and he took a chunk out of her lip. The top lip is pretty much totally gone on the right side of her face up to the nostril. The bottom lip is pretty much the same but not as bad. The left side of her face looks ok.

We got her some antibiotics in her and she is doing ok now, but I am worried about her ability to eat and especially drink going forward. I dont think she is going to regrow a whole lip...it will probably just heal and leave her mouth exposed. I can post a picture but it is fairly graphic.

Thoughts on how this will affect her?

I would take her to the vet, it's not too late for them to stitch it back, even if a chunk is missing. She's probably needing some pain meds and antibiotics. Poor girl.

I believe there is too much tissue lost to stitch it. She is going to see a vet in the morning and hopefully we can get some fluids in her as she hasnt drank any water today. We brought her inside tonight and layed some blankets down in a closet and will keep her in there tonight so she can stay warm.

Goats are survivors. I'm sure she will function fine without some of her lip. I've seen a goat get the top of her nose and top lip torn clear off. It looked terrible but she did fine and is currently livening a happy life.(she never went to the vet but did get some antibiotics and pain meds) I'm sure the vet will get her taken care of. Hope she heals quickly.

She was up this morning and looking ok. Going to put her back out with her friends and clean it up again. Hope she will drink something today.

Right now her name is little bit but I think the way she is looking we might rename her "Terminator". lol.

Poor goat! She may survive, but will still have difficulties as she learns how to do so with half her lips gone. Glad you're so sensitive as to the care she is needing.
