Noodle's first offspring

Jubilee, my huge Saanen/Alpine/LaMancha first freshener, was bred to Noodle, the Alpine buck I got from LoneStarChic. His first kids hit the ground this evening! Jubilee had them unassisted and is a great mom.

Kronos is the male - white with black spots
Popsicle is the female - brown with black on the back half and white on her eyebrows

You know. I have some 50/50 lm/Nubians bred to Nubian bucks. I was wondering about what kind of ears I will get.

I checked the pedigrees. The dam is 50/50 Lamancha Saanen. I thought she had a dash of Alpine, but I was remembering a different white goat.

So, the kids are elf eared 25% LaMancha, 25% Saanen, and 50% Alpine.

That ear gene is REALLY strong.
dozedotz and Doug Hodges like this.
