Not sure if my goat is in heat or if she has aborted baby
She has a creamy colored mucus with a little bit of blood in it. None of my other female goats have this mucus. She seems to acting normal. And she is eating. Should I be worried or doctoring her she was wormed the beginning of January with ivermectin.

Yep. That's where I was headed. But when she said in heat it made me wonder.

Hormones can do some funky things.. from making them look like they are coming into heat.. to making them feel all bucky.. Carla would get bucky a week or so before HER due date every year.. she would then--huge belly and all--mount the other pregnant does, setting everyone off..
the barn lot would end up looking like a congo line, gone wrong at a really drunken wedding reception LOL...

actually how many days depends on the breed.. while nubians *usually* kid on day 150.. lamanchas don't seem to need quite as many days, to bake kids (guessing not needing to cooks ears, has something to do with it LOL).. I know that Nigerians can go both sides of that 150 date... not sure about the Swiss breeds? and the meat goats??

Nigerians almost always kid before 150 days. Alpines tend to go over often way over like 155-156 days.

Frosted Minis... my nigerian obviously broke that rule... she decided to wait until Day 154, lol
Why do my goats always feel it is necessary to break rules?

My Alpines have kidded fairly reliably on day 150 or 151, but my Saanens have gone from just under 150 (she had triplets) to 155 (she had a single once, but twins the second time...) I just mark off a week or so on the calendar for constant vigilance. And then they usually go ahead and kid without me anyway.

I just start checking regularly a week before the duedate. A doe can go 145 one year and then 155 next year. Exactly when is usually more dependent upon how tired/busy I am.

In the future. Don't do that. It can lead to infection, leaking bag, and other things. They have a plug in their until things are ready.
