I love my new L L Bean cap with LED light in brim

Nothing much more to say except I have no lights in the goat sheds and this cap has been so usefull. It keeps my hands free, lights the ground where I'm going and has close up lights for seeing where to hook clips and such.
Just wanted to let anyone who might need it know.

Head lamps are what I use here. Brighter, and work on the same principle. I don't know how I survived without them.

I have a light weight clip on LED light that goes on the brim of a ball cap. LOVE IT!

Batteries last for months.

I got one of those hats for my sweet friend, Jim.
He already had one, and got it cheap somewhere, for when they play in poorly lit symphony halls. It makes it hard to see music, I guess, when the sun is setting (outdoor arenas, poorly backlit indoor arenas) and helps him read his music. He uses it to grill outdoors when it's dark too. Or to fix under the sink.
The one I got him is overpriced, but got it from 'grommet . com'

He says the lights line up differently on this particular hat, which he can use it for different stuff. Anyway, it's a win!

I've been using caps with LED lights in the brims for several years. I just thought everyone who went outside at night had them.

Walmart carries them. Basspro, cabelas, harps, Hirshs, tractor supply, orchelin, etc. You can get them from 5 to 10 bucks each.

I've used them too and they certainly helped but they never seen to light where I wanted to see. What I like about the L L Bean one is that it always seems right. I don't know if that is just this hat or any would work as well. It had 3 seperate LEDs, two for close and one brighter one for far.

I've used headlights for years too, I love them! Started when camping, got it at REI some 20 years ago. Use it all the time, for many tasks!

Winter chores, home maintenance projects, grilling in the dark, cleaning the dogs ears, anywhere you need sharp light to see....need it more and more as my eyes age.

It has a swivel mount that I find essential, especially since I started wearing multifocal glasses, to point it where I need it without breaking my neck. Have replaced the light itself several times, but always mount it to that original swivel.

I have a headlamp with elastic straps, but it's too heavy.

Wear it with a ball cap most the time.

We wear the headlamp type with the elastic straps, works great for us & I don't know how we ever did without them.
Our barn has lights but not the pastures & goat house out in them.
