Hoegger backordered

I had ordered cheese cultures from Hoegger right after Christmas, and they haven't come. I emailed them this morning, and most of what I need is backordered.

Just thought I'd share.

It would have been nice if THEY had told YOU that it was backordered...rather than make you wait and wonder and finally contact them...

Alice, have you tried these guys? http://www.austinhomebrew.com/index.php?cPath=178_361

That is where I go...of course, it isn't too far from me and I usually drive over to get what I need...but their shipping isn't bad.

They don't have the culture I need. I was looking for the one to make Brie.

Looks like they are simply reselling cultures from cheesemaking.com, based on the pics of the packages. I wonder why they don't have the real rennet?

I'll have to go by there next time I am in Austin. That's not far from some of the places I frequent.
