Sunny, ice melting, me rambling...

Hope everyones Christmas went well. Today looks like a promising day the sun is shining the ice coating everything is just starting to melt, and no bitter wind yeah! I am finally getting over this pneumonia stuff I think...still tired.

My goats finally came out of the shed, seriously I had to improvise a hay feeder inside because they didn't want to eat from the hay feeder in the breezeway don't blame them the icy wind here is terrible! So cold it cracked the plastic housing on the floating deicer for the horses so had to buy another (sinking one this time) but the water had froze 2 inches thick overnight so chipped that away enough to put new one in. My gloves got wet and stuck to the metal fence, then stuck to the ice on the wood fence, seriously not funny!
No more deaths for the last 2 weeks (chickens or goats)...

Felina is due in 2 1/2 weeks, checked her for udder just a very slight swelling most noticeable are her teets they have enlarged some. I was so worried that she and Nibbler might have aborted. She doesn't look big especially compared to yarrow's very pregnant ladies.
Felina and Nibbler are both FF Felina is due Jan. 13 and Nibbler on March 15. Everyone else I have no freaking clue since I had to move the boys over to the Girls housing because I had a deicer come up missing ...
Maybe Shaq got Pawnee before he passed away, Pawnee didn't want Monkey back when I thought she was in heat she headed straight for Shaq who was locked up in the pen, so don't believe she got bred then, Pawnee and Shaq made some beautiful girls.
I thought for sure Pearl was preggers but she should have kidded out sometime this month. Maybe its a good thing Monkey is in with the girls cause I seem to keep missing heat cycles. Bad thing is I can only guess at what month I should start seeing signs. My luck the signs I see will be lil bouncing kids
I haven't posted pics for a bit so I will bundle up and go get some

makeshift hayfeeder, the chainlink fence panel peeking over the pallet is where the kidding pen is.
