Will 2 does stay behind 5 strand barb wire if there is lots of brush and woods and gullies (about 8-10 acres worth, total prperty 25 ac) and horses for friends, or do I need to light he fence up?

It is in a goat's job description that they need to test, and possibly destroy any fence that keeps them from wandering the world at large.

Add a couple strands of electric with a strong charge and you should be good to go.

Light it up. I have 3 strands of hot smooth wire on 8 acres and all 22 of my goats respect it.
