Sigh.....preg test results

My poor dd is having more issues with goats in her 2 years than I've had in 10. Her boer doe came up open again. It's now too late to try again for fair babies, so it looks like she's out of 4-H for the year. It's weird, the same breeding pair as last year (and that resulted in 3 very nice doelings) and it's coming up zero. The doe was in with the buck for a month the first time and 2 weeks the second time, we took her out after an obvious heat because of weather/shelter issues. I don't know how to go about seeing who has the problem. I only have one dairy doe left to breed and she's borderline if she'll be big enough to breed period, let alone breed to a boer. I'm thinking of throwing the boer doe in the pasture with ALL the bucks for a bit and see what happens.

I know it's part of goats, but jeez! Her first year breeding we lost the doe and three out of four kids to some unkown cause. Necropsy results were less than helpful, last year was good and now this. Maybe she should try some other 4-H animal, pigs or something.

Im sorry to hear of your disappointing test results! Sometimes livestock is no fun! Sometimes the doe settles, but reabsorbs the embryo. Doesn't mean the doe will do it again.
