Breeding round 2
Moved minis to the iso pen because I don't want them bred to a boer or an alpine. They're in their own convent now.
Boers are in the buck pen with the studly Waylon. There have been heats on and off since Friday, hoping he covered all of them - most of them I saw good breedings on, but some just are dirty like they were mounted but I never even saw them flirting. I put his old marking harness on him with his beat up orange crayon... I thought those things would last longer than a week. Hopefully I can get anotherweek out of it, then change to green crayons. They're staying there for a month this time, though, incase these induced heats don't take.
Calix the alpine buck is in the main area with all the confirmed preggos, a wether, and his ladies to woo. The two in question had lute shots on Friday PM in hopes that I could haul them to an outside buck today... no such luck. No signs of heat. He's staying over there for a month, hoping to catch breedings with the marking harness.
I have decided that I hate putting marking harnesses on bucks. It is my absolute least favorite thing. That, and the crayon gets all caked up with bedding/sand/dirt... hoping it works OK.
