The Little Buck Who Wouldn't

So, I have a few Nubians and a couple of Nubian, Alpine-Kiko crosses. I kept a couple of does from my registered buck last year. To breed them I purchased a register-able Nubian bottle buck born in April of this year. He's been doing pretty well. He hasn't grown as much as I'd like but he's healthy in all other aspects. Except... I have him in with 2 -18 month old does and a wether. A couple of days ago one of the does went into screaming, raging heat. I thought she was stuck in a fence or injured until I ran out to see her. The wether and the other doe were mounting her while she stood for them, tail up. My older buck was in a pen on the other side of the house going crazy. The new little buck was in the back of the pen eating hay. Quietly, ignoring the noise and pandemonium around him. I let the wether out of the pen and pointed the buck's nose at his place of business and he just looked confused. I have never seen a male goat act like this. He is 8 months old. More than old enough. When I bought him I met his parent's and sibs and half-sibs. The farm was well-kept, the animals healthy and lively. His dad was impressive. His bloodlines were good.
Has anybody had this happen or have any suggestions to brighten my Perry's libido?
I'm stumped.

its not uncommon for young bucks being kept in with other goats to be intimidated, the fear of having the crap knocked out of them often overides the desire. also some bucks are from slower to mature lines hence the possibility your boy isnt growing as fast and isnt sexually mature. I would remove all goats but keep them in site and maybe just leave him with the doe in heat. Most virgin bucks can be very sneaky in their success the 6 month old buckling I used this year never sang or snorted he just got the job done quietly and politely

I didn't mean to leave this unattended for so long. CF, you were right on the money. Crissy, the other doe in with my Perry went into heat this weekend. Perry wasn't paying any attention to her. It was her turn to get a pedicure so I sat down at her shoulder and was trimming her toes. Perry came over to see if he could 'help.' After a moment I realized that Perry was standing perfectly still next to Crissy's hind quarters. Looking a little closer, I noticed that his upper lip was raised very slightly. Then up he went and got the job done. If I had blinked I would have missed it. He did it again, then wandered off as if nothing happened. Very sneaky. I have marked the date and we'll see in a couple of weeks if he was successful. Thanks for your response.

I swear, that banana cracks me up every time I look at it.
