Mid-Term Bred Doe with Discharge

We have a 3yo - 67 days into her pregnancy who started discharging as if she was cycling into heat (but with a tan-nish looking discharge)

She was acting all "bucky" and butting heads with the rest of the girls. She also was hanging around -at the fence-with the buck for better than a half a day

And now for a day and a half she has had a small amount of bloody discharge ( a spot or two on the ground and on her tail)--doesn't sound good huh?

Has anyone experienced this in their herd?

It sounds like she may be aborting. Not much you can really do, but keep an eye on her. If she comes back in heat, rebreed her. Since it is late in the season, and if she is aborting, you may not get another heat out of her, but I'm guessing she'll cycle again in late December or January and you can breed her then, if you are okay with May/June kids. Better than an open doe. Or, you can just keep milking her if you haven't dried her up yet and breed her again next year. A doe aborting doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem with her, it just happens sometimes...she will probably rebreed and carry the next pregnancy fine.

If she is aborting, will she labor and deliver?

Maybe, maybe not. It sounds as if she has probably already aborted. You don't always find everything.

It sounds like she already aborted her baby(s). sheep do the same thing sometimes, doesn't mean there is anything wrong with her, but it just happens sometimes. sometimes, they will have discharge and they are fine, babys are fine too, but by her behavior I would say she aborted and is now open.

It does sound like it. Check her ligaments.
