With tears pouring down my face I thank you
It's been a year now since Gretta died. I just read the end of the long thread of the whole ordeal. I'm going to read the entire thread maybe later or tomorrow. I am grieving. I am sad. But I am so grateful too. For all of you who hung in there with Gretta and me during the long roller coaster illness. For all of you with such big hearts sending me gifts, supplements, goat coats, cards etc. Your love and support carried me through one of the hardest times of my life. I learned so much. About me, about Gretta, about humanity. The pain of the loss was a turning point in my life. And I had to fall deep in order to pick myself up again. Which I have. This forum and those who stood by me literally saved my life...Thank you for being here for me. Thanksgiving holiday will always be a time of reflection for me. To remember how much I love Gretta and how much I miss her. To remember all her antics and joy she brought to me and others. To remember the day she brought my Flossie and Frankie in to the world and what a good mama she was. To remember the wonderful people here. To realize I can be sad and so grateful at the same time. God bless you all. Hold your loved ones close on this holiday and just feel love.
Rest in peace my dear Gretta.

Now I'm crying too! I miss Gretta even though she wasn't mine I miss all the stories & all the pictures of her. Gretta will never be forgotten here for me either.
We should all thank you for all the inspiration & even laughs through out Gretta's Wonderful life.

I think we are all better people for having gotten to know Gretta and you, Min.. the love you two shared, the fight to save her... I know it touched me deeply..I feel blessed to be able to call you, my friend..

Your memories of Gretta are ours, too, in a way. Yes, it was sad at the end, but, oh, man, the insulation!
You're a strong woman with a big heart, Michele. You gave more than you got, I think.

Wow its been a year. I never met you or Gretta but I feel like I've known you both. She reminds me so much of my Monkey girl and I tear up thinking of her. Giant hugs sweetie we will always be here for you.

Like the others said before, seems like we knew gretta - even if she was only words on a screen to us.

Thanks everyone Like Alice said she did not die in vain. I think we all learned more about Johnes disease. The vets around here did too. I am a pro at it!
I still haven't tested the rest of the goats...too scared to do it at this time I guess.
