Good grief and pollywogs, I'm back in Texas

After a fourteen hour drive, many rain showers, pee stops, dog relief stops, food stops, traffic jams due to construction in a ONE TRAFFIC LIGHT town, and then Houston traffic....

I'm back at Quirky Goat Farm (South).

More tomorrow.

I'm drinking bourbon and eating supper. Unfortunately, I started on the bourbon first.

After a 14 hour drive, I'd be tempted to make bourbon my appetizer and dinner.

Glad you made it safely.

Glad you had a safe trip.

But as if I wasn't already craving bourbon! Oh well, guess I'll drink the tequila instead.

The goat tote worked like a champ!! All the goats made it through dry and happy. I had put a long feeder and water bucket in each compartment. It's strapped down with ratchet straps so I can unload it easily.

The goatie girls unloaded themselves by jumping down. I left the buck loaded over night, as I had to do some prep in his pen. He had to be encouraged to jump out, but he's sort of halter broke, so that went smoothly.

The traffic was HEAVY all the way home. Only saw one wreck, west of Houston on Highway 59, just inside the Wharton County line. A car was nose down on a guardrail, rear bumper straight up in the rain. Very odd.
