My husband, goat enabler

We finished our new run-in yesterday For the does. DH says "I think there's enough room here for 26-27 goats, as a run in." This is after telling me about the secondary dry lot he's planning. He's a keeper.

When I told him I had reservations on 3 goat kids, he didn't bat an eye. In fact, he was happy I put a reserve for Dolly's sister.

I just told my wife I had agreed to purchase 9 more goats in the spring.

I hope she was okay with it.(I also wanna know where you have kids reserved lol). I am hoping to retain several of mine this year. Do you hand milk your girls?

Yes. I really like it. I spend way to much time at the barn.

Whatever works. I enjoy handmilking but I have a couple impatient does. We bought a delaval milk system for when I have several girls in milk at once. I'm excites to milk two at a time.

He's definitely a Keeper! My husband would never think of having 26 or 27 goats at 1 time. I sneak them in slowly!

I love my goats, but I don't think I'll ever have that many grown does at once. If I keep fewer does that means I can grow out more kids and be pickier about who I keep.
