Hazel Day 153 - What are they, Mexican Jumpking Beans? pics/vid
Hazel, our Nigerian Dwarf, is on Day 153. She's getting close, I don't know if I can stick with that rule that says, "If you feel babies, you are at least 12 hours out from the birth.". These babies are feisty! I loved this video, and thoroughly enjoyed feeling them and seeing them. In one of the pictures, you can see two little knees sticking out.
Weird thing is that the baby is on the left side, through the entire pregnancy I couldn't feel a thing on the right and only a little hard thing on the left. I wonder if she will just have a single?
I thought it was cute because it looks like they are trying to punch their way out of momma, lol.
Hang tight, the video probably doesn't work because it is being edited. It will work in a second, it's and AWESOME video.

That is NUTS! I was already impressed before I got to the 30 second mark, then wow! Never seen anything like that.

I know lol.
The only other place I could see this happening is maybe in a human... Haha, but I've never seen this in livestock, that's for sure.

Oh yeah I meant left, lol. Need to go back to kindergarten, obviously.
It is really weird, I talked to my awesome goat friend and she said that maybe her placenta is on the left side? Dunno.
By the way, does pawing every human in sight, vigorously, mean labor?

From the pictures it looks like it's the left side where all the action is...I am confused!

Min, I am so sorry. I just mixed up left and right AGAIN. Ugh! Okay, I meant the placenta may be on the LEFT side. *checks that to make sure it's right. Or left. LOL*

I don't know, she defies all laws of kidding, lol.
She's having contractions this morning and her ligs are still hard.
I can put 4 fingers around her tailhead but her ligs are still hard.
Her legs got posty 3 days ago and she hasn't kidded.
She's just weird, lol. Her babies were on that side last time, too.

Do her kids have kids on the wrong side also? Maybe it's genetic?

Okay, I need a question answered. LOL
If she is pawing PEOPLE (specifically me) all the time and stretching her back every 45 seconds, does that mean she is in labor?
I know, it's been a year but I am still horribly new.

Doug, good question. She's only ever had bucks though, so I don't know, lol. If she has a doe this time around, I guess we'll find out. I don't think her mom did though.

I wouldn't assume she's in labor, but maybe that she's telling you she's uncomfortable and wants you to make it better. lol.
But then again, I genuinely don't know anything.

INTERESTING video! Fun to watch. I've never seen that kind of action in any of my girls!
