Selling goats

Well I made a Facebook page and a website. I decided to go with mostly registered goats except for a couple very nice girls. I priced the young does and a couple of others. One is my only horned goat but she is a very easy milker and very very friendly. Another is a very very pretty young girl (frosty face on website) anyway I priced them high enough that I figured no one would buy them. I was wrong. I've had several inquiries. So far I've been able to talk the prospective buyers out of it. Now I have a guy coming Monday that is interested in buying several. I hate to let them go. I'm torn. I know I won't drop my price. I hope it isn't always this hard to let them go.

Dude your prices are actually reasonable, these your are selling are unregistered right?
Yes it is hard to let them go..
I know in my head Pawnee and Shaq's two girls need to be sold, my heart just hasn't agreed so I have been putting it off hmmm maybe after I breed them to Monkey and wait see how they produce and the kids and then that will be another year down the road...slippery slope I go.
And then there is Nibbler and Felina's 2014 kids will I retain will I let them go as bottle babies sometimes I feel like banging my head against the wall ....what if they have spots what if they have doelings what if they milk like crazy
Sometimes if I think about it to much I drive myself nuts...wait think I am already there.
Stick to your price if you are not in a hurry to sell you can then pick the new owners out that you would want your babies to go to

Yes. Unregistered and I think the same thing. I bred one for spots and frosty face is such a pretty Doeling and has a great looking udder and she was born this year. She's good sized already. I bet she will really produce the milk.

I think those prices are really Great for purebred unregistered, disease tested purebred nubians.
Hopefully the guy coming monday will know what he's talking about & you'll like him so it will be easier to let them go.

I think your prices are very reasonable, and I love your goats! I just took some of this years (April doelings) to the sale barn and they brought $150.00 each! Older fat does are bringing $200.00 or more! We are getting rid of most of our goats--at this price they are going to the sale barn next Saturday.
Edited: I want to say that this is very hard for me to do--send my goats to the sale barn knowing they will go for butcher.....but....I am sooooooooo done with goats.....we are keeping 2 favorite does and 2 doelings for 4-h as they are my daughters and she is very attached to them.

It is tough originally but hopefully you will get used to the tough decisions. It's hard to have your herd take you where you want to be if you keep the ones that aren't fitting into your plans - that can eitehr mean sale or cull. I've teared up watching a goat I've had a few years drive away with the new owner, but knew I was making the best decision for my herd and my sanity (in keeping numbers low).
