Sick milking doe....I have no idea

OK, I am a little at a loss here, so please bear with my scatterbrain. My kids milk our goats and do a great job. i am the overseer. They tell me when problems arise. However it makes it tough when they wait too long to "mention" something.

I posted about our milking doe last week with the sore feet...thrush issue. I went out at milking time last night to trim up her feet and use thrushbuster. She looked horrible. It looks like she has lost weight and her udder was ALMOST NOTHING!! She gave LESS than a quart!!! She is a fantastic doe and was giving 1 1/2 gallons a day!

THEN they tell me she hasn't been eating her grain on the milkiing stand for several days.

Temp. 101.8
She had "the runs" yesterday but she had gotten into the chicken grain.
Her udder is shrunk up to almost nothing though she milks fine.
Giving WAY LESS milk that looks, smells, and tastes fine.
Her breathing seems a little loud. ?? but I didn't notce it that much.
Membranes are very pink (around eyes and nostrils) - this I noticed right away and it doesn't look right to me

I don't know what to say. I am SO upset. She is our best doe. She kidded at the end of May. She should be doing so great right now. Please help.

When did she get into the chicken feed? Did it coincide with all of this? I'm not the expert but I give mine probiotic immediately if they act funny before I do anything else. I've noticed that most of the time by the next day all is well again. If a problem persists, then I start with other steps.

Not sure, Michelle, but Doug's right about the probiotic. Hit her with that, B complex, Vit C if you have it...

Has she been eating her hay? Is she hydrated?

I contacted the breeder. She said that goats don't tolerate pain well and this could be a slow downward slope from not walking for several weeks.

So here is our plan:

Baking soda drench
Lactating Ringer....if I can figure it out
1/2 dose Banamine to take the edge off
Lots of browse, grass hay, anything easy on the rumen
I will throw in some probiotics too (thank you Doug and Pony!)

Off to the vet to pick up some Banamine!

Thank you both for your thoughts
