That would be a NON FERTILE heat, according to the books. Does must go through a regular hormone cycle in order for eggs to develop/be released - something that stops happening when they become pregnant.
You could lute, then wait 10-14 days and lute again - IN season, the 2nd heat is *likely* to be fertile. 10-14 days is the required time for the hormones to prep eggs for release.
