RIP Adele...
I just found my sweet beloved Adele's body out in the barn this evening . It looks like she got her head stuck trying to get some hay and someone came up and rammed her from behind snapping her neck. I just got done bawling my eyes out . Lets just make this the WORST day ever, I already had a super hard emotional break down of a morning and then finding her this even just took the cake.

Adele was an up and coming beautiful 3yr old and this year was her first kidding which she took to be a mother like a champ. I was so looking forward to her second freshening next year and keeping a doe kid out of her. She was my sweet beautiful baby girl....oh my baby girl .

Oh Justine! What a horrible thing to find I'm so very sorry. Such a tragedy and she was a beautiful doe. I wish I could take some of your pain away....I am sure you are just devastated. (((((hugs)))))

Oh no! That's terrible and yet don't we all, who've been in goats a while know this to be the truth of them-- sometimes there is just no way to protect them. I am so very sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear this! That is a terrible blow alone but definitely after the morning you had. I hope your day gets better. She was a beautiful doe but sometimes things like thishhappens and there is nothing to do but roll with the punches.

Thank you everyone, I am sorry I haven't replied in a few days. Michelle I had a few hard days and honestly with surgery looming next week I haven't dealt with Adele's death. I just have been forging through it until I am fully able to deal with the emotions. The farmer part of me is thankful that it was a animal that I had planned on selling off next spring though I wish I could have gotten a doe kid out of her. The girl part of me still hurts and I still look for my sweet girl in the herd when they are out on the pasture. I miss my baby girl...I really do .
