Homebody - Yes it is a laparoscopic surgery. The plan is for them to make 3 (maybe 4) small incisions on my abdomen (1 will be in my belly button). If everything goes well they can just remove the cyst without having to remove my ovary. I am having a robotic assisted surgery and my surgeon will have another surgeon assisting her because this type of surgery requires more than two hands.
I had blood work drawn yesterday and there are a bunch of different tests being done. I have to have blood drawn one more time because they messed up on one of the tests and the serum has to be frozen right after the blood is pulled but they didn't do it. So I am running back to the hospital tomorrow to have that done then I will get my blood results back and see what they say.
I check in at 7am on Oct 3rd and surgery is scheduled for 9am on Oct. 3rd. I should be going home a few hours after surgery, the surgery itself can take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half if everything goes according to plan. I will be off until Oct. 30th (yay for 4 weeks off from my job!).
I really really like my surgeon and I love how she has explained everything SO well and is very up front about what the risks are (minor but still there). I have a lot of confidence in her and I feel very safe in her hands and I connected really well with her. She is so sweet and talks to me not at me, listens to all my concerns and doesn't scoff at anything I have to say or anything I ask.
I am just SO thankful to finally hopefully I will get answers for my issues. I am excited to see what happens after the cyst is removed and how my body goes back to normal. These next few days I am getting goat stuff done and setting up my breeding pens. I am doing two breeding pens (only using two bucks) this year so I can just watch heat cycles and not have to worry about trying to get does hand bred while dealing with healing from surgery.
I am also cleaning out a pen and clipping up everyone's hooves as well as getting everyone wormed with a commercial wormer (I do herbal but once a year I do one commercial worming) and get the BOSE shots done and just get caught up on everything so I am not stressing about anything after surgery.
I can say I am VERY thankful I have lost all my weight because I am SO much healthier now than I was then and I know my recovery will be much faster than it would have been before

. Thank you SO much everyone for all the thoughts and prayers, they mean so much to me. This year has been quite the roller coaster for changes in my life, emotional family issues and losses. It has been a trying year and I am ready for some of these things to be behind me and to move on.
