Pellets with ammonium chloride for does?

I found a cheaper feed store but they only have pellets with the AC.

I have three does. I'm still milking two and am about to breed them again. Can they have this? My only other choice is dairy mash which is a dust. I accidentally got it for the chickens last time and its awful!

Thanks all

AC won't hurt them especially at the normal inclusion rate of .5%. It is an acidifier so for diaries recieving high amounts of grain, it *may* make them more prone to acidosis, but I'm not *sure* of this. Be sure to offer baking soda.

You don't have to feed a 'goat chow' by the way. You can always mix your own. IN the past I've done oats, corn, black oil sunflower seed, calf-manna, shredded beat pulp etc etc as a feed mix, all purchased and mixed as needed by hand. Currently we do the mills' 'goat feed' which is oats, corn, dairy pellet (soybean meal pellet), vit E/Se supplement, and a dash of molasses.

I called them and found they have corn, oats and wheat. That's all for whole.

Is wheat ok? I am going to set up a small fodder with wheat and boss. I can't get barley or buckwheat here. At least not that I've found.

I'd feed oats.

We feed oats and BOSS, along with some alfalfa pellets. But we'll be dropping the pellets pretty soon, as we've not been able to find a certified source for non-GMO product. Then they'll get their alfalfa from non-GMO hay.
