hermaphrodite question

Will a hermaphrodite come into heat?

I have a young doe I suspect of being one. But today she came into heat, and stood to be bred. I'm hoping that's a good sign.

Mine seems to come into everything, it depends on who she's with-the girls or the boys. She lives with the girls so she mostly acts like she's in rut and chases them blubbering and driving them crazy. When I have to put her in with the boys (only once or twice) she will flirt with them until they try to do business, then she runs around and defends herself. Mine has never been bred, but I never tried as I knew it was pointless.

She is great for telling when the other does are coming into heat, she always tattles on them!

And she is AMAZING with the kids! She gets trampled and completely loves it!

Mine is really sweet, too. My first thought that she was a hermaphrodite came from watching her blubber after the other does. I know some mounting is normal among does in heat, but she really really acts like a buck.

Reading through the physical characteristics of a hermaphrodite after watching her made me believe that's what she is.

Assuming she is and won't settle, I don't plan to keep her long term.

I have a couple of does on their fourth freshening with no "manly" characteristics whatsoever who blubber after the other does when they're in heat. Tongue flapping, gorilla hooting and all. Cracks me up. All the entertainment and none of the stink!

I have a doe who I swore up and down bet my mother she was hermie. Would act 100 % buck never seen her come into heat ever. Well she gave me a doe and buck in January. So you might get lucky.

Thanks. It's more than the excessive blubbering with this one, though. Along with that, she has teeninsy teets, an impressive beard at only about nine months old, and, how shall I say this? an unusual hoohaha. (Is that the technical term?)
