Ot but hey its my goatie family big day today

Two years since my fathers passing we are finally going to court today. A mini refesher I had no idea my father was deathly ill and his "friends' found him sick and only mildly responsive. He was finally succumbing to many problems he had and they knew it and to make a story short, told the Drs I was in prison and that I could not be contacted while they hired a lawyer to make a will leaving the friend everything.
They blocked me from knowing anything until he went to hospice he signed the will that day and that afternoon I was finally able to see him but he was too far gone.
Please pray that the judge will be fair and that the Lords will be done.,

I can't believe it... omg how evil can people get? Someone who did up that paperwork needs to be disbarred because in prison or not that would be easy to confirm and even still, you be one of the most contactable people ever... since if you were in prison they'd probably have a pretty good handle on where you were.

Good luck, what a fiasco. I will hope and pray you get a judge who knows true justice and will punish the thieves involved as they deserve and restore to you what is yours.

There are some really disgusting people in this world. I am so sorry that you have had an up close encounter.

Praying that the judge sees through their game and the estate goes to the proper person.

Praying everything goes your way, just as it should! Some people are really just a waste of a human & to take advantage of a dying man is disgraceful!

well we cant prove undue influence as it was clear that in testimony he didnt hire the lawyer or was there when it was executed.
There wasnt clear proof he was on any pain medicine at the time of the will being made.
The things we still have on our side is that the guy who took him to the hospital (preacher man) had filled out his paperwork stating he wanted to be cremated (remember that its important) and that I could not be contacted because I am in jail (note never been in trouble and I work at a bank). We where able to prove that it was obvious they prevented me from seeing my father until after the will.

Now, my dad has been blind for some time so we went over that well to establish it because all four witnesses say that they read some of the will to him but did not read it word for word but would only say they read the important parts. Now preacher man was in there when the will was made, first paragraph of the will clearly states that my father wishes to be burried in our family plot, of which anyone that knows him knows the cremation was his true desire.
All the attorneys and his staff at the will signing say he was competent, yet his long time on and off again girl friend says he wasnt that morning she was there of the day the will was made. Shorty after the will was made my father went to hospice and I was finally allowed to see him that evening (they had told hospital staff I wasnt allowed) he was already gone by the time I got there he was just a body breathing at that point, no longer able to communicate in any way.
Its sad because yes, he wasnt happy with me (manic bipolar) at the time so I didnt get any closure or to make amends like we always would when he would fall ill.
They took much more from me than the estate could be compared too, and honestly if it had not been "left" to whom it was I wouldnt even be objecting to it but because this guy had done nothing but mess my father over for the past 10 years he always said that this guy would find some way to try and take the estate from me.

Big stinky pile of goat berries... Going out for some goat quiet time, nothing like a does of goat medicine to calm the soul.

we find out which way the judge will go by the end of the month

This is absolutely cruddy, I'm sorry you are going through this. Let's hope the judge has a BS meter like Judge Judy and slices right through the poop pie they try and serve up.

I will be keeping you in my prayers. I hope that this can be settled in a manner that helps you find some sort of peace with your old man.

Condolences on your complicated loss.
Hoping justice is served on those who would do such abhorrent thing.

A preacher did that? Makes me think of that Ghandi quote....I like your Christ, but not your Christians.

Hope you get closure and peace soon. Whatever happens please take solace in the thought that the FINAL JUDGEMENT is always just, because the judge is omniscient. In a few days the trial will be over for YOU, and you will continue life with a clear conscience. But he will continue to wear his sin like yoke.

Just found this thread. I am so sorry those people acted so abominably, and pray God will bless you with a wise and just judge.
