Walker & Amelia's *engagement photos*
Okay.... won't go as far as posting *wedding night* photos.. but thought the courtship/engagement pics were kind of nice... This is a repeat breeding from last year.. Walker & Amelia had what we called the Dreamsicle colored kids (light orange and creamy white).. the doe went to live with IndyGardenGal.. she was looking really good in the last pictures I saw of her.. so repeated breeding was the order of the day....
Walker has grown so much since last year.. he sort of dwarfed his bride LOL.. but she is head-over-heels in love with him LOL..
Amelia flirted with him.. whispered sweet nothings into his ear and snuggled up close.. couldn't get enough of his good smelling *after-shave* LOL..Jess says she is smiling in the one where she is peeking up, over his back..
I like the first picture where Ameila is looking back over her shoulder at him..

Dolly is a spitting image of Amelia too. It'll be interesting to see if that coloration continues when she's big enough to breed to my buck.

I owned Ameila's dam too.. she looked a whole lot like Amelia.. her name was Oeno.. Oeno's dam was Moon and she looked just like too.. (actually saw the great grand dam.. same.. her name was Mouse) The breeder was a sweet, very funny, very smart.. teeny old lady named Grace..(she was a character.. she had a pet Guinea hen, who lived in her dining room LOL).. her website is now gone and I've seen no kids with that herd named reg.. for a long time.. I'm guessing she probably passed.. not the biggest does, but they milk well and long ...with udders that are super well attached.. all the way around..
In the pictures are Oeno (standing and head.. the doe on Grace's old website add was Mouse.. they all looked so much alike.. no matter who they were bred to.. so far Amelia's kids have all looked very much alike.. again, no matter who she's bred to..

Great pictures Susie, Looks like true Love for sure!
What color would you call Amelia as far as for registration papers. I have 2 doelings I need to send paperwork in for registrations that look like the same color? I was wanting to call them Tan Roan?

I usually just call them cream with tan... but tan roan would also work.. (Amelia's kids start out really light orange and cream)

Awww! I have one doe in my herd colored like that and her name is also Amelia She's a youngster though, 10 mos old. Coincidentally she is in heat today so she is engaged as well haha.

Wow, Nubian bucks don't have much hair to hold in their perfume! I bet they aren't quite as stinky as my shaggy boys. But if you have to handle them, ain't gonna make much difference if they are a lot stinky or a little bit stinky.
