Looking for Alpine Buck in Northeast GA

In a moment of weakness and at the right price I have acquired a five year old Alpine doe. I absolutely love Spinning Spider Cecile! We were meant for each other; HER teats are too big and MY hands are too big. I am sooooo enjoying a very productive doe that is easy for me to milk. She is the only Alpine I have and I'm planning to breed her October/November. So.... I'm looking for someone in the North Georgia area with a clean herd willing to do a driveway breeding to their Alpine buck. Would like the buck to have genetics for smaller teat size, as this is her only serious flaw.

Contact Angie Peevy Montage Farms http://www.montagefarm.com/ she has the best Alpine in the state and may can help you or direct you, shes in Ducula so a bit of a drive but totally worth it. All her bucks are going to appraise at 90 or better in order for her to use them, of course that was talk two years ago. But I will say that her alpines are nice enough that i really like them, and I do Not like alpines

Thanks, Cannon. That was my first thought, I've already emailed her. She said they no longer stud out. Might be that she is being cautious about health security as she does not know me or my herd. I certainly don't blame her. It may be that they just prefer to collect for AI. I'm sure that's much less of a bother than dropping everything at a moments notice to breed an outside doe in heat.

I wan't to get a keeper out of Cecile. Thought I'd try for a registrable purebred first. But I don't mind if I have to do a mix breeding. I sure have an affinity for airplane ears. Who knows, if I can't find an Alpine, maybe I'll get into breeding Alpen-Nubins? ;-)

well, all I can say is I am buying a tank. The owner of Mega bucks is having an AI class on 9-15 you probably cant get her to cycle by then but the class is well worth the $150

meaning you could get some semen to AI and I would keep it for you, but for one its kinda of a pain, heck for my little herd its a pain but what I gotta do

I think that is waaaaay out of my league. I can't even draw blood or give injections. But if my vet offers that service, might be the way to go.
