Good news on Timber
A few weeks ago I posted about maybe putting my older doe down, mostly due to having to give her daily shots for months for an infection from an unknown source.
Luckily my vet, who has been so helpful this year with my weird horse issues, came up with a new albeit very expensive antibiotic to try.
Timmie had another blood test yesterday and the vet said the antibiotic (Draxxin) is working. The shots need to continue for awhile as it is not yet normal, but since Timmie hardly notices the shots (only 1.7 cc) done once a week, it is not problem.
Tim's white cell count has gone from over 26,000 to 15,750. The vet said that
under 13,000 is technically within the normal range for a goat, so she is
slowly approaching normal.
