Feed??

We will be picking our new Nubian does up in about 2 weeks. The breeder said that the feed he switched to is not good and he is in the process of switching them. I am wanting some opinions on what to start them on. We will be feeding alfalfa hay as well as the pasture mix grass they will be grazing on at our place. They will be breed in October by the buck from the same guy. So know they will be breed soon and they have alfalfa, what does everyone recommend for grain? Thanks.

I feed a 16% dairy pellet mixed equally with oats & my girls do really well on that.
They also have alfalfa/grass hay & alfalfa pellets on the stand.
