Me and my fickle self..

Okay so awhile ago I made a thread about how I had come to the end of a chapter with the goats. Well it is still the end of a chapter but a variation on the old chapter. Lol

ANYWAY, I decided to go ahead and breed Hazel again. This will hopefully give Nate has last January wether that he needs for his 10th year in 4-H. And maybe I will get a doe kid to keep Hazel company later if something were to happen to Hannah. Hannah is 9 and Hazel is 1. That is a pretty big a difference.

All the kids have been sold. The barn has been cleaned out and pens downsized. I went through all the "stuff" and got rid of alot. I have to say everything looks nice with a lot more room for other things in the barn now. Like the lawn mower and four wheelers. I have a 12 by 16 Main doe pen and a 6 by 8 creep/kid pen and that is it.

Hannah is retired. Hazel has been Bred to Pruittville's Let Freedom Ring. She was Bred on Sunday. Brought her in with a cidr and pg600. Hopefully she settles. I am really excited about this breeding as it will be strong line breeding on Pruittilles Huckleberry.

So anyway just thought I would give you all an update and some pics. The one is of the does new pen. The last one is my nephew helping me clean the aisle. The others are random.

First, I for one NEVER doubted that this would happen...or something very much like it!! lol! Second, that child is adorable and very helpful, too. Third, of course you wanted us to know...we are as crazy as you are!

what a sweet little guy.

i think your plan sounds pretty nice. your barn looks great.

I too downsized, and am so happy for it. its nice just having just enough, not having so much that chores are long and room in the barn to breathe. just a few also seems to agree with the goats--they all get more attention!

Thanks
I agree about the goats liking the extra attention. They are getting spoiled.
