Won't you be, won't you be, please won't you be....

....my neighbor?

Off Topic.

I bought the place next door at auction. Twenty acres, one large enclosed barn, one three sided barn (40 x 80). Two ponds. Three hay fields. Fenced on three sides. North side needs fencing.

Earth bermed house is 2,000 square feet. Four bedroom, two bath, screened porch. Utility room.

I will be putting a new roof on the house and one of the barns. Hardwood flooring going down to replace the carpet.

My property adjoins this one on two sides. The other side is forest with an absentee owner.

I need a goat loving neighbor.

It actually does sound pretty darn good! I must ask the question that others are too shy to ask: Will you be singing that song all the time? AND do you wear those sweaters and sneakers? Inquiring minds want to know before investing their life savings...

Is this the one you're renting out, or are you selling it out right?

Actually, my default song is Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain.

Cheese house AND cheese cave.....hmmmmmm. Earth bermed house.

This house I would be willing to sell, owner finance. Or rent. Either way.

I very rarely wear sweaters, but I do like Mr. Rogers.

That's an awful lot of real estate for someone who heads north in the summer. LOL

I would truly be interested. The house I have been renting has been sold and I have to move. Been having a hard time finding a place that I could have goats. Could you please let me know a price? And a town so I could see if my work has a location close by?

I'm going to send each of you a PM.

The roof on the house needs replaced soon, and one of the barn roofs needs replacing. My sale price would reflect those improvements. I need to get bids on the roofing so I can cover my purchase price and the improvements if you want to buy rather than rent.

If I can find a buyer, I'll leave the current carpet, so that the buyer can make flooring decisions. If it's going to be a rental, I'll be putting hard wood flooring in.

There are small paddocks already in use for a cow calf pair and a few ponies. Some fence improvements would need to be made for goats.

I will try to get pictures soon. It has been raining daily here, but I'll try.

I have seen this property, and while it wasn't quite right for us, it would be perfect for most people, especially goat raisers. The house was very nice with an arbor and an enclosed porch. Actually, the carpet was quite nice compared to many places I have been. There are two small fields already enclosed that would be plenty of room for goats for most people. There is, I'm guessing, about 5 acres of woods and a pond that looks like it may be spring feed. Except for the house roof, which needs replacing fairly quickly, the rest of the outbuildings seemed in good shape. While some work needs to be done on one of them, it could wait a while.

Of, course Alice will do a bang up job of upgrading everything up, but if someone wanted to buy this place early, they could get a great place before she stuck a lot of money in it, and could change things as they had the time and money. Nothing is pressing except the house roof. I don't think it is leaking any place, it is just that it is old and the sun has curled the shingles.

The fence on the South and West which abuts Alice's property has a terrific fence that appears to be new, and is very well constructed with welded iron corner and brace posts. Like she said, The only fence that would have to be constructed to enclose the entire place would be on the North side. With the existing enclosures, which are probably large enough for goats and a horse or two, there would be no need to be in a hurry with that side, and if one wanted to keep those fields expressly for hay, one may not decide to fence it at all.

Oh my goodness it sounds wonderful! I would love to be your neighbor, but if this one is in Texas I would have to test for texas cdl before being able to work there.

This house is near Alton, Missouri. I'm looking for a way to embed a map.

http://mapq.st/161cWs4

By, George, I think I've got it!! Zoom in on the B. It is the property to the left (west) of the county road. The reddish roof is the earth bermed house.

On the Map Alice posted.. Coso lives down the same road that Alice does.. I am located just a few miles out, on Hwy E (it's on the map, we are south of Alton.. we use a cut thru gravel road to shave off several miles.. when we go to see either Chris or Alice).. it's a goatie area... lots of rivers & woods, great views..lovely place to call home.

(Alice, is this property by the cabin or by Lonnie's?... trying to decide whose place you bought)
