Do any of you have "project goats?"

Goats that you're the proudest of in terms of how far they've come since you got them? While I'm extremely proud of my buck and the progress he's made (you can see him in the post about Replamin Plus before and after pics), the doe I bought with him, Nicole, has to be my shining star. Though she still has a ways to go, the improvement she's made just makes me smile every time I look at her.

The first picture is her on 12.2.2012 - the day we brought them home - with her doeling, Honeysuckle (the yearling I lost a couple of months ago). The second picture was taken today. While she wouldn't cooperate fully for her pictures, you can still see a definite improvement. My son suggested I sell her now that I've finally gotten her healthy, but I'm going to breed her this fall and see what happens in the spring. Now that she's healthy, I think this doe may have a lot of potential. It's amazing what the right foods and minerals can do (as opposed to her diet of whole corn and hay before I bought her).

Good job but for I me I haven't bought a goat in so many years that I haven't had any to renovate. I've bought bucks but they were flown in as babies so there was no renovating.

I was given a really nice saanen buck today actually, so he might be my first in a while. He's not bad but VERY skinny.

I just gave him some grain and minerals, ivermectined him and bo se'd him.
