Talking Breeding Season Starting!

Today, I put my buck, Nehi Minis VG's Jack of Spades

Breeding Season Starting!-4-22-2013-1.jpg

in with Nehi Minis JD Waltzing Matilda and Nehi Minis JT Abbey Road. Jack comes from great milking lines, and has a wonderful, calm temperament, and BLUE EYES. Both the does produce half-a-gallon a day, (once-a-day milking) and have gorgeous udders. I retained a doeling from each last kidding season. I CAN'T WAIT to see what these pairings produce this next kidding season!!!

All 3 adults are F1s, registered MDGR, TMGR and IDGR. I'm quite thrilled with all three!

First 2 pics are of Abbey Road. Next 2 are of Waltzing Matilda. Last 2 are the retained doelings. The apricot one is Matilda's girl. The black & white is Abbey's.

Oh my goodness... those last two pics... why do you guys try so hard to turn me to the dark side and get some of those elf eared goats. I am surprised each time how much more I like how they look.

Dang it. I'm selling my big trailer and trying to cut down. NOW you show me BEAUTIFUL goats. AAARRGGGHHHH!

I haven't seen any does flirting with the bucks yet. Have seen a couple of curled buck lips and peeing incidents.

I'd love to have everyone bred SOON.

My Nigerian doe came into heat last week and my 4 month old buck took lots of teaching to figure out that he like goats better than pigs....lol. I have last fall's doelings running around flagging already. So not ready for 5 does and 3 cows to milk.

Ssssh! Nobody knows they are supposed to be coming into heat yet and the boys still don't stink to bad. I am loving it! I don't even have my breeding plans nailed down yet , I am so far behind this year.

such pretty girls! I would like to get a nd, but hubs says no way is he milking that when I leave town! i try to tell him its not just the size but the orifice and other things factor into if a doe is easy or not to milk but he just is hooked on size. i would love one to add some butterfat for cheesing. maybe when we're older and all i feed him is pudding he'll get the idea!

My boy (also Jack) has at least another 5 weeks before he's out of his splint from breaking his leg a week and a half ago. I think he's too preoccupied with being out of commission to worry about breeding yet - thank goodness! I just can't do winter babies - I hate the cold too much

Just beautiful and Jack is quite handsome, too. I am really impressed with the amount of milk you are getting!
