Heavy Breathing goat
Dad always had goats. He always called me to shear the angoras. Worm everything. Help load the mean billy, etc etc. Most were boer goats. Well my wife and I are trying to eat and live healthier. Goats Milk was one thing we wanted to start drinking so we could get away from the hormone induced milk on the market. My wife is also 6 months pregnant. So I bought a couple goats. I should of stopped there. I forgot to mention we have a big heart or soft heart. However you want to put it. I heard of 4 goats for sale. The story dodgy sound good as the keeper of the goats has poor health. When I went Tj check, the goats were is so so condition but didn't have any browse at all. I considered it a rescue and took all 4 home at a pretty good price. I sold one to dad. A week ago I hear of a lady on poor health with 10 goats. I resisted. Today I couldn't stand it any longer. I found several goats in a very small area. I knew I couldn't buy them all. I bought a 2 month pregnant Lamancha that's supposed to be 3 year old but still has her baby teeth and a beautiful 5 month old Nubian Doe. Back to the lamancha. I milked her and trimmed her horrible hoofs when I got her home. She put off 22ozs of pretty dang good milk. She pooped and peed at least 4 times in the first couple of hours. She ate grain and ate some hay I put out for them. She took turns butting the little Nubian I brought home with her. All the time, she seems to be breathing heavy. Maybe it's the ride home and all the new goats and she's nervous. The daughter in law of the lady who owned the goats said she milks her daily and she is one of the better goats. Said not to worry. Am I just being paranoid? I wormed both goats as soon as I got them to the barn. The goat seems content and was lying down with the other goats when I went out to check. I have Right Now Onyx minerals out for them at all times. Of course fresh water. Here she is. Anything else you would do?
